✨ The Good Shepherd — Psalm 23:1
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” — Psalm 23:1 (NIV)

Some days begin with a little worry.
A child stands on a grassy hill, holding an empty lunchbox and wondering,
“What if I don’t have enough? What if things don’t work out today?”
We’ve all felt that way, kids and grown-ups alike.
Those small moments of uncertainty can feel big inside our hearts.
But then something gentle happens.
As the child looks up, they notice a warm light in the distance.
A shepherd appears... calm, steady, kind.
And suddenly the words of Psalm 23:1 come alive:
“The Lord is my shepherd…”
It’s more than a verse. It’s a reminder.
A shepherd never abandons his sheep.
He guides them.
Protects them.
Feeds them.
Stays close, especially when they feel unsure.
With that realization, everything shifts.
The clouds part.
The hillside brightens.
The child finds themselves sitting peacefully in green grass, surrounded by flowers, with a picnic basket beside them. Exactly what they needed, right when they needed it.
Joy replaces worry.
Peace replaces fear.
Confidence replaces doubt.
The child’s smile grows as they say,
“I’m not alone. God is taking care of me!”
And with renewed courage, they walk forward through a sunny meadow,
not because everything is suddenly perfect,
but because they finally remember the truth:
“The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing.”
This is the heart of Psalm 23:1.
God doesn’t just give us things.
He gives us Himself.
And when He is leading us, caring for us, and walking beside us,
we truly have everything we need.
