GOOD CHOICES MATTER. [Galatians 6:7]

GOOD CHOICES MATTER. [Galatians 6:7]

GOOD CHOICES MATTER

Galatians 6:7

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”

Every day, children plant little seeds.

Not seeds in the dirt.

Seeds with their choices.

A kind word is a seed.
Finishing what you started is a seed.
Telling the truth is a seed.
Practicing when no one is watching is a seed.

So is interrupting.

So is giving up too quickly.

So is saying something unkind because everyone else is saying it.

Galatians 6:7 gives us a simple picture:

What we plant today can grow into something tomorrow.

That does not mean one bad choice ruins everything.

Everyone makes mistakes.

It means our repeated choices matter.

One small choice can become a habit.

And habits slowly shape who we become.

For a student, it might look like this:

You have homework.

You can say:

“I’ll do it later.”

Or:

“I’ll just start with five minutes.”

You hear classmates talking badly about someone.

You can join in.

Or decide:

“I don’t need to add to that.”

You make a mistake.

You can hide it.

Or say:

“That was me. I’m sorry.”

A friend succeeds.

You can compare.

Or say:

“That was awesome. Good job.”

Most of these choices feel tiny in the moment.

But tiny choices are often where character grows.

A seed does not become a tree overnight.

Neither does character.

Kindness grows by practicing kindness.

Courage grows by practicing courage.

Responsibility grows by practicing responsibility.

Honesty grows every time we choose truth when lying would be easier.

That is why good choices matter.

Not because children have to be perfect.

But because every day gives them another opportunity to plant something worth growing.

And when we choose badly?

We do not say:

“I’m a bad kid.”

We say:

“That wasn’t a good seed. What can I plant next?”

That distinction matters.

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is learning to recognize:

Choice → consequence → reflection → better next choice.

That is growth.

Today’s KBG Reminder

You may not see the result of every good choice today.

Plant it anyway.

The kind word.
The honest answer.
The five minutes of practice.
The apology.
The decision to try again.

Because:

**Small choices become habits.

Habits shape character.
And character helps shape a life.**

Good choices matter. 🌱

Simple Prayer

Dear God,
help me make choices that grow good things in my life.
Help me choose kindness, honesty, courage, and responsibility.
When I make a mistake, help me learn from it and choose better next time.
Teach me to plant good seeds every day.
Amen.
