✨ A City on a Hill — Matthew 5:14
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14 (NIV)

Have you ever seen a city shining at night?
From far away, you can see the lights.
They glow in the darkness.
They guide people who are looking for the way.
You don’t have to search for it.
You don’t have to guess where it is.
Because light…
cannot be hidden.
And today, Jesus says something amazing.
“You are the light of the world.”
Not later.
Not when you grow up.
Right now.
That means something very important.
You don’t have to try to become light.
You already are.
Every time you choose kindness—
you shine.
Every time you tell the truth—
you shine.
Every time you help someone—
you shine.
Sometimes children may not realize this.
They might think:
💭 “I’m just one person.”
💭 “What I do doesn’t matter.”
But it does.
Because even a small light
can brighten a dark place.
Imagine a classroom.
One child smiles at someone who feels alone.
Another shares.
Another speaks kindly.
And suddenly…
the whole room feels different.
That’s what light does.
It changes the atmosphere.
Jesus didn’t say:
“Try to be the light.”
He said:
“You are the light.”
And just like a city on a hill—
your light is meant to be seen.
Not to show off.
But to help others.
To guide.
To encourage.
To bring warmth into someone else’s day.
